Liposuction
Liposuction, sometimes referred to as “lipo” by patients, slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits and improving your body contours and proportion. Liposuction techniques may be used to reduce localized fat deposits of the thighs, hips and buttocks, abdomen and waist, upper arms, inner knee, chest area, chin and neck, or back. Liposuction can be performed alone or along with other plastic surgery procedures, such as a facelift, breast reduction or a tummy tuck.
Dr. Teshima performs the tummy tuck practicing evidence based medicine and uses the latest techniques to reduce the risk of long term complications and increase patient satisfaction.

Are You a Candidate?
Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite – the dimpled skin that typically appears on the thighs, hips, and buttocks – or loose saggy skin. Secondary procedures may sometimes be recommended to reduce excess skin. Special considerations are needed when large amounts – usually more than five liters of fat – are suctioned.
Cost of Liposuction
No two patients are the same. The cost of liposuction tends to vary depending on each patient’s individual needs and the amount of fat that needs to be removed and the location on the body. The average cost is between $2,000 and $8,000. Meeting with Dr. Teshima, you will be able to determine a custom treatment plan that will achieve a result that meets your particular goals.
